Betopper BSW500 Brings Dynamic Beam, Gobo & Animation Effects to Historic Warnors Center

Betopper BSW500 Brings Dynamic Beam, Gobo & Animation Effects to Historic Warnors Center

Fresno, California, USA | 2026

The historic Warnors Center for Performing Arts in Fresno, California, has upgraded its stage lighting capabilities with a complete Betopper professional lighting system, supporting concerts, comedy shows, and touring productions throughout the year.

Originally built as a Pantages theater nearly a century ago, this 98-year-old venue now features a full Betopper lighting setup across its performance spaces, bringing modern lighting technology to one of Fresno’s most iconic entertainment destinations.

At the heart of the lighting system is the Betopper BSW500 Hybrid Moving Head, delivering powerful Beam, Spot, and Wash capabilities for professional stage applications.

BSW500 Brings Hybrid Lighting Versatility to a Historic Theater Stage

Betopper Project

At the center of the Warnors Center lighting system is the Betopper BSW500 500W CMY + CTO Spot Beam Wash Hybrid Moving Head Light, combining Beam, Spot, and Wash functionality in a single professional fixture.

With a 2.5°–19° motorized zoom, the BSW500 can transition from tight aerial beams to wider stage coverage, giving lighting designers greater flexibility across different production styles.

For a venue hosting concerts, comedy shows, and touring productions throughout the year, reliability and flexibility are essential.

The BSW500 helps deliver:

  • Beam, Spot & Wash in One Fixture
  • Dynamic Gobo Projection
  • Water Ripple & Flame Animation Effects
  • CMY + CTO for Flexible Color Control

Dynamic Gobo Projection for More Visual Depth

With 7 fixed gobos and 7 rotating gobos, lighting designers can introduce patterns, textures, and projected visuals into the stage environment. Combined with motorized zoom and focus, the BSW500 can enlarge gobo images by approximately 4–5× for larger and more defined projections.

Water Ripple & Flame Effects for More Dynamic Stage Looks

The BSW500 also features a dedicated animation effect system that goes beyond traditional beam and gobo effects.

Its water ripple effect creates flowing, wave-like movement that can add texture and atmosphere to the stage, while the flame effect produces a dynamic burning visual for more dramatic moments.

These effects give lighting designers additional creative tools for concerts, touring productions, comedy shows, and theatrical environments—especially when the goal is to create movement and atmosphere without relying solely on conventional beams or washes.

Supporting Touring Productions with Professional Stage Lighting

The Warnors Center for Performing Arts has integrated Betopper lighting fixtures into a variety of professional productions, supporting concerts, comedy shows, and touring performances throughout the year.

Featured performances include:

  • Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening — August 20, 2026
  • Los Lobos — August 2, 2026
  • Patton Oswalt — April 3, 2026
  • Zarba Garg — April 11, 2026

From high-energy concerts to theatrical performances, the Betopper lighting system provided the flexibility needed to create different visual styles, moods, and stage environments.

Designed for Professional Touring Productions

Lighting designer Mike Owens has designed lighting for many productions at Warnors Center for Performing Arts, bringing professional experience and creative vision to each performance.

For Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening, lighting designer Gurn operated the show using a GrandMA3 console, integrating the Betopper lighting system into a professional touring workflow.

After the performance, Gurn shared positive feedback on the fixtures, highlighting their strong performance and overall value for professional applications.

This project demonstrates how Betopper fixtures can integrate into demanding live production environments and support the creative needs of professional lighting designers.

Expanding Betopper Across Multiple Performance Spaces

The Warnors Center for Performing Arts operates three venues within the same 90,000-square-foot building, providing multiple spaces for concerts, events, and live entertainment.

In addition to the main theater, Betopper lighting is also being used at Star Palace, a 750-capacity venue within the same facility.

The current Star Palace lighting setup includes:

With Betopper fixtures already supporting multiple venues within the Warnors Center facility, the venue team continues to explore opportunities to further expand its professional lighting system across additional performance spaces.
