The zoom ratio of 2.5× is based on the optical system’s theoretical value. When calculating by beam angle (7°–21°), there may be slight deviations because the measurement method and the actual projection conditions can influence the result.
In our specifications, the zoom ratio is determined based on optical performance and image clarity, rather than the full mechanical zoom range including effects such as frost. The beam angle range is typically measured without factoring in gobo sharpness or focus precision, which is why it can appear slightly larger.
In short:
Zoom ratio (2.5×) → based on the optical system for maintaining image clarity.
Beam angle (7°–21°) → practical measurement range, which may be slightly wider due to measurement differences and not accounting for image focus.
